Erfahrungsbericht von Elias, Praktikant im Consulting bei OCM
Elias hat in seinen Semesterferien ein dreimonatiges Praktikum im Bereich Management Consulting bei OCM absolviert. Mit ihm spricht unser HR-Team über seine Erfahrungen bei OCM.
Praktikant*in bei OCM: Kaffeekocher und Aktenkopierer oder bedeutsamer Mitarbeiter?
Ich habe mich bei OCM stets als wichtiger und vollwertiger Mitarbeiter erlebt. Während meines Praktikums habe ich weder einen einzigen Kaffee gekocht noch eine Akte kopiert 😉. Stattdessen war ich komplett ins Projekt eingebunden, war bei Kunden-Meetings dabei und habe das Team mit Analysen und Recherchen unterstützt.
Wie würdest du die Arbeitsatmosphäre bei OCM in drei Worten beschreiben?
Offen, motivierend, authentisch
Was sind deine Key Learnings?
Während meines Praktikums habe ich bei der Optimierung von Vorgängen in der Supply Chain und im Einkauf ein tieferes Verständnis für diesen Bereich entwickelt. Das Gelernte reicht dabei weit über die in der Universität behandelten Themen hinaus. Zudem konnte ich durch begleitetes sowie selbstständiges Arbeiten in Microsoft Excel und PowerPoint meine Fähigkeiten in diesem Bereich stark weiterentwickeln.
Wovon hast du in deinem Praktikum am meisten profitiert?
Ich habe direkt in der Praxis gelernt, wie eine Unternehmensberatung funktioniert, welchen Tätigkeiten ein Consultant nachgeht und wie in der Branche gearbeitet wird. Diese tiefen Einblicke waren für mich hochinteressant und haben mir bei meiner beruflichen Orientierung sehr geholfen. Durch mein Praktikum bei OCM hat sich meine Begeisterung für das Berufsfeld nochmal verstärkt. Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen, nach meinem Studienabschluss bei OCM als Berater einzusteigen.
Gibt es etwas, das du neuen Bewerber*innen empfehlen würdest?
Ich kann nur jedem raten, sich auf jeden Fall bei OCM zu bewerben! Es war für mich eine super interessante und spannende Zeit, aus der ich sehr viel mitgenommen habe.
